BRIO AB, one of the world's leading toy brands, today announced the appointment of Martin Hörnqvist as Chief Executive Officer of the division BRIO Play. Hörnqvist was recruited for his extensive knowledge of and experience in creating and developing premium branded business models.
Prior to joining BRIO, Martin Hörnqvist was Vice President at AB Electrolux where he was Head of Market Growth Strategy. While at Electrolux, Hörnqvist was responsible for developing and driving consumer insight, marketing- and growth strategy and has extensive experience in brand development, innovation and business development.
During 2011 the BRIO Group has made some fundamental changes in the business structure by delisting from the stock market and creating two strategic business units, BRIO Play and BRIO Care. To achieve the brand's full potential, the Board requited Mr Hörnqvist. "His brand knowledge and long experience working with strategic marketing will ensure that the brand's true potential is realized", says Heikki Takanen, chairman of BRIO AB.
