BRIO is carrying out a voluntary recall of the 30452 Cot activity center and 30469 Rabbit Teether and Rattle.
The above BRIO products are made from wood and textile and were launched in 2008. Both products have a plywood ring sewn to the rabbits’ arms.
BRIO’s customer services department has received information from a number of consumers that the plywood is separating. This means that the parts can break into smaller pieces and also have sharp points.
Risk of injury:
When the plywood of the ring separates it can break into smaller pieces that have sharp points. These sharp points may cause injury and the small parts can cause choking if a child was to swallow one.
Although the wooden ring is only damaged on a very few products, we have decided, for safety reasons, to recall all 30452 and 30469 products from our markets.
If you have bought a 30452 Cot activity center or 30469 Rabbit Teether and Rattle we ask that you return it. Please contact the store where you bought the toy, or alternatively any other store that has sold this product, in order to receive a refund.
The Swedish Consumer Agency has been informed.
